Polymersynthese

Der Lehrstuhl ist auf die Synthese von funktionellen Polymerarchitekturen spezialisiert, die ihre, z.B. biologische, Funktion durch selbstorganisierte Nanostrukturierung entfalten:

  • Homopolymere mit funktionellen Endgruppen
  • Blockcopolymere
  • Sternpolymere
  • Hyperverzweigte Polymere
  • Core-Shell-Polymere
  • Anorganisch-Organische Hybridmaterialien, z.B. polymerumhüllte Nanopartikel
  • Biologisch-Organische Hybridmaterialien, z.B.
  • Polymer-Proteinconjugate
  • Polymerconetzwerke
  • Gummielastische Systeme

Hierbei kommen eine Reihe von Polymerisationstechniken zum Einsatz:

  • Freie radikalische Polymerisation und Copolymerisation (thermisch, photoinitiiert)
  • Emulsions- und Suspensionspolymerisation
  • Kontrollierte radikalische Polymerisation (ATRP)
  • Anionische, lebende Polymerisation
  • Kationische, ringöffnende Polymerisation
  • Polycondensation
  • Polymeranaloge Umsetzungen

Spezielle Polymerklassen sind:

  • Polyoxazoline mit funktionellen Endgruppe
  • Poly-4-vinylpyridin basierende Blockcopolymere und Sternpolymere
  • Hyperverzweigte Polypeptide und Core-Shell Architekturen
  • Amphiphile Polymerconetzwerke (APCNs)
